Pathways2Resilience is delighted to share the latest academic paper on our subnational transformative adaptation finance process, the Adaptation Investment Cycle. Led by Kit England at Paul Watkiss Associates, the paper sets out how using a finance and economics process as part of the broader adaptation planning processes (Regional Resilience Journey) can address barriers to adaptation financing.
Our first 39 regions are currently applying the process and the paper describes some of the early impacts it's having in London (UK), Ithaka (GR), Marche (IT) and Arnhem and Nijmegen (NL). It should really help inform the development of subnational financing as part of the forthcoming EU Climate Resilience framework and we are excited to share this latest development from Pathways2Resilience.
